    Rather than leasing more planes can’t they bring the old 747 out of retirement. I’m sure a lot of people would love that

    BA is also having engine replacement problems that have required groundings and aircaft substitutions. Last week my 788 was swapped with a 772, though the F cabin was flown empty and our J cabin was less than 1/3rd full. By comparison, had 5 segments on RJ 788s all of which were on time despite their high utilization and turn-arounds. Three of the segments were on a mileage/status run flown on the same plane that flew AMM-BKK (plane flew on and back to/from HKG) BKK-AMM-CAI…and likely turned around to fly the same routing that day. Must assume RJ’s fleet uses GE engines.
