That’s what one guy did in Portsmouth, UK. The catch? The ride was a 740 mile trek to Munich.
After missing a flight for a friend’s stag night the guy needed to get to Munich as fast as possible. For some reason it never occurred to him to find a different flight. Even with walk-up fares it has to be cheaper than a £1,950 (~$3600) taxi ride. A charter flight probably would’ve been close to that price.
Anyways, no one – and especially not me – ever said travel was rational.
