Welcome to the new Hamad International Airport in Doha where a giant, sketchy teddy bear dominates the terminal. As does Qatar Airways. This week’s flying video is a timelapse departing Doha on one of Qatar Airways’ Boeing 777-300ER jets en route from Doha to New York City. And I tossed in a few images from inside the terminal as well as they’re fun.

What do you use to take these videos? I have a nice camera and GoPro, but nothing can hold it that still.
I wish I wasn’t 6’7″ and could sit in window seats in Y- .. but it’s just not doable for the perfect video just in front of the wing.
I use a GoPro mounted with one of these. Works like a charm.
I shoot usually in timelapse mode at 0.5 seconds and then render to the video.
Very sweet. I purchased one. Can also mount it on the hood of my car while driving in the mountains. Thanks Seth.
