Visualizing 24 hours of air traffic in London

What do 3,000 flights look like arriving and departing at the five airports surrounding London over a 24-hour period? This video from NATS, the folks who manage ATC for the UK, is an awesome representation of the air traffic flow.

And just another reminder that I have little desire to work in ATC or in the pointy end of the plane. There’s a whole lot of stuff going on there which I’m quite happy to leave to the professionals; I’m busy in the back enjoying the view.
