In what is likely the largest cross-promotional move in the history of commercial aviation the first of the ANA Star Wars 787 fleet was unveiled this weekend. And it is pretty spectacular.

As for where to find the jet operating in service in the coming months, the west coast is a good place to look. Here’s the targeted routes for the ship per ANA:
- October 18:Haneda = Vancouver
- Mid-October to Late-November:principal destination Narita = San Jose
- Early-December:principal destination Narita = Seattle
- Mid-December and beyond:Haneda = Sydney, Haneda = Jakarta, Haneda = Beijing, Haneda = Munich, Haneda = Paris, and other destinations
There are two other Star Wars branded jets also set to fly as part of the promotion. They’ll be coming out of the paint shop in the coming months.
I’m a sucker for a good special livery and ANA has outdone itself on this one.

I live in San Jose. Will have to do some plane spotting of my own. I can see the flights landing from my front door
