Friday Flyday: Inaugural Air New Zealand Flight Auckland to Houston

Kia ora y’all and welcome on board the inaugural Air New Zealand flight from Auckland to Houston on a Boeing 777-200ER. It was a festive atmosphere from in the lounge well before departure until coming through the arrivals hall after arrival. All sorts of little things connecting the two cultures along the way; it was tons of fun. Special thanks to Air New Zealand for having me on board on behalf of Airways News.

The flight is the longest in the Air New Zealand route network (return trip is slightly slower flight time due to winds).

  1. Nice video – thanks for posting.

AKL-IAH is the longest nonstop flight by Air New Zealand, but the longest direct flight is AKL-LHR.
