Giving Thanks

Loading supplies for PRCareLift into a Spirit Airlines A321 headed for Aquadilla. Some 15,000+ pounds of goods went on this flight.

Just over a year ago I spent a week in Fort Lauderdale and Hialeah, Florida. It was a break from my regular life but hardly a vacation. It was also one of the best weeks I’ve ever had.

We spent our days packing boxes to ship to Puerto Rico to support the recovery from Hurricane Maria. I was reminded of that work this week in the form of a movie produced in surrounding the larger relief effort by Spirit Airlines. I watched the movie and I am, again, incredibly thankful.

I’m thankful to all of you who supported the efforts, with your time and your money. I’m thankful for the work we accomplished.

There’s plenty of other stuff to be thankful for this year on a personal and professional level. But this reminder of the bigger things worth working for was well timed and especially poignant for me this year.
