More photos from Sandy in Manhattan


Well, the good news is that the storm surge hasn’t been quite as bad as it could have been, at least so far. Definitely not in the clear yet but it has been interesting to see what others in Manhattan are doing today when faced with a massive storm spinning an incredible amount of energy into the region. Apparently posing for photos in the wind and rain is the way to go.

Taking advantage of the iPhone FaceTime functionality to share the storm with friends and family:

Then post it online, while still in the middle of the storm:

The water levels have gone down a bit, leaving all sorts of junk behind:

We’re a couple hours away from the evening peak of high tide combined with the storm surge. Most definitely not into the clear yet but I figure I’ve got roughly a 10 foot buffer before our apartment is in danger.
