Friday Flyday: Moline to Minneapolis on Delta

Climb aboard this early morning flight from Moline/Quad Cities to Minneapolis with Delta Connection. The Embraer 145 made the trip in about an hour; it looks a lot faster when condensed via time lapse. And the sunrise views are spectacular.

  1. Wow! Nice video. Were you in Iowa?! (or in Illinois?) Also, did you have a mount to keep the video so steady?

    1. I was on the Iowa side in Davenport for a couple nights. Suction cup mount keeps the camera steady for these productions.

  2. Nice! I live about 45 minutes away from the Quad Cities. Usually always fly out of CID because it’s closer though, as I’m in Iowa City.

  3. This is the first time I’ve ever seen any of the travel blogs mention Moline. Fascinating. I’ll be flying in and out of there for Christmas.

They have hilariously cheap parking, and the security is also usually quite quick. Same for Des Moines and Peoria, also well off the hubs and aspirational destinations that most people post about.
