    1. Awesome giveaway! A Qatar A380 model!!…my kids 11 (14 countries visited) and 5 (7 countries visited) would LOVE to add it to their model collection of BA , LH and SQ 747-400, EY A380, LX A330 and 340, BR 777 etc. Trips to Norway, Denmark and SriLanka (QR A350 CMB to JFK!) planned for 2016!

  1. Favorite travel adventure is going to PRG/BUD/CDG/VIE with my mom. First time in Europe (other than for connections).

  2. I went to Colombia for two weeks with my best friend’s family. It was unlike any vacation because I really enjoyed the local culture. (His family is Colombian). I can’t wait to go back!

  3. We had a fantastic time in Costa Rica at the Andaz Papagayo last year; highly recommended if you haven’t tried it out. Great place to get away and ignore the world for a few days.

  4. Fun giveaway, thanks!!

My favorite adventure last year was a trip to Ireland, which had been on the bucket list for a long time. Getting lost in the Irish countryside and stuck in sheep traffic was so much fun!

  5. I’m a miles geek too now, thanks to this blog and the many many more in the BoardingArea universe. Thanks you guys, you inspire me to travel more!

  6. Well even though this was 2 years ago, getting 6 pax together on a trip from NRT to LAX on JL F.

  7. Sadly last year was extremely pedestrian with just a trip to Columbus, but did make a point of going to Cedar Point for the afternoon

  8. Favorite travel adventure has to be many of my avgeek runs back and forth over the countries i have been to. But most of all involve spending time with friends. Flying down to Dorkfest last year with 3 friends was a great time. Loved it!

  9. i’m off to turkey and india this spring. and from where i stand in oregon mountains to boston in a month.

  10. Awesome to see this again, Seth! Great that you give these things away to geeks like us. Thanks!

  11. I see some very cool stuff in that pile! Would be awesome to take some of that off your hands for my next trips (which need to be scheduled soon!). Thanks, Seth! John

  12. Favorite from last year – has to be the Dreamliner trip from SEA to DOH – what – a total enjoyable trip!!!

  13. I just got back from an awesome trip to Jakarta and Hong Kong with my best friend that was the result of a dirt cheap Delta fare.

  14. Also, best travel adventure in the last year has to be snorkeling and swimming with dolphins in Florida with my 7 and 9 year old daughters. Great fun!

  15. A lot of great stuff there. Eventually I hope to add the QR A380 to my 1:200 QR 777-300ER and QR 787 models, once I fly it in F or J of course. Thanks for the opportunity.

  16. Finally getting to Iceland last year was definitely the highlight. Didn’t get to see the northern lights, but that gives me an excuse for another trip!

  17. Favorite travel adventure was three weeks in India and Myanmar in November 2014, though the safari in Zimbabwe is up there as well. Mostly a little more pedestrian nowadays with my weekly commute to Charlotte.

  18. Favorite adventure last year was my 3 weeks in New Zealand in December, wasn’t just 1 thing, but the entire trip.

  19. Favorite travel adventure was definitely making it to Easter Island and touring all of the awesome locations and eating empanadas non-stop

  20. Count me in Seth, would love to be fortunate enough to get something from the collection!

  21. last year my favorite travel adventure was an african village in….South Carolina. such a weird but interesting location!

  22. United has direct flights from Newark, NJ to San Jose Cabo, MX…this Jan went for 1st time and loved! Friendly locals, great service and food around town. Lot’s of activities offered or relax by the beach all day. Stayed @ ME Cabo in Cabo San Lucas…DJ, cabanas, and pool service…nice!

  23. Oops, replied to the page after clicking on the photo. 6 responses on that page compared to 116 on this one.

  24. My favorite trip was SEA-LAS on Southwest’s infamous California One! N609SW, 733. #avgeek
    Thanks for sharing!

  25. My favorite travel adventure was renting a campervan for 30 days and driving all around NZ!

  26. RBF flags are supposed to be red, that’s a funky thing. But I will throw in my hat anyway.

  27. One of the best giveaways! My best travel experience was last month backpacking from Colombia all the way to mexico in a month and half!

  28. What an awesome idea, sharing the love with you readers. I really enjoyed (probably more than you did) of your experiances following the cancelled flight and the snow in Turkey – it is nice to know that even a pro like yourself suffers the same pains we do when weather disrupts our plans.

  29. God it took me forever to get to the bottom of the post. Could you make entering any harder? And I have to leave my email? What about the spammers? All I’m going to get is junk mail? Ugh. And who has a website? This contest is more awful than the Readers Digest.

  30. Taking my mom to Europe in first class she had never flown overseas let alone in First class. Thanks to points and miles bloggers like you. She was like a kid wide eyes and giggly at age 59!

  31. My favorite adventure last year was when my husband spent our honeymoon backpacking throughout Puerto Rico with only one backpack. We explored throughout the historic center of San Juan, hit up the beach bars in Luquillo, hiked through the El Yunque rain forest, chilled out in Fajardo, and went snorkeling in Culebra!

  32. Who doesn’t love free stuff (probably a lot of people). But, this free stuff is stuff I’d put in my office with all my other stuff 🙂 Thanks for the opportunity, Seth.

  33. My favorite story was the Japan trip. It’s not a place that’s in the top five of my personal destination list, but I loved reading about it. The idea of eating at government employee cafeterias when in a pricey city is a brilliant one that I plan on using myself.

  34. My fave story was Japan. I intend to take advantage of your knowledge, when I am in Japan next Fall.
    PS Nice giveaways – thanks

  35. I don’t know if it was 2015 or 2014, but I liked the story about taking the turn flight from NYC to Martha’s Vineyard, where the crew couldn’t understand why you’d fly just for flying sake.

  36. Please let me know how to land one of these gifts? I have a 5-yo bold who’s into airplanes and would love to get one of these wonderful replicas.

  37. Would love to win something! Btw my favorite story was your little blurb on AA’s new TWA 737. I, too, was very excited about it…I miss seeing the red stripes and TWA emblazoned tails in the skies and at least now there’s one!

  38. I have collected amenity kits for almost 30 years. I don’t have any of the ones in the picture.

  39. Although our family does a fair bit of international travel, especially to visit family in Europe every year, our favorite travel adventure this past year was closer to home. We went on an awesome one-week roadtrip through New Mexico last November. Our favorite was seeing Taos Pueblo, but we also enjoyed Santa Fe (pricy city!) and the Hyatt Tamaya.

  40. Love your blog! This is a great giveaway. Anything in the group would have a good home here.

  41. Wow, thank you for being so generous. We would really enjoy having the A380 model, however we will be pleased to accept any gift you choose to giveaway to us. My son and I always enjoy reading your blogs and stories.

  42. wow this is amazing! would love to get my hands on the A380 model plane among other goodies. thanks seth 🙂
