Two Great Bits of France Tonight


Neither of these things are big news but they have a combination of factors to make them quintessentially French:

AF 747 Retirement

Air France retired the 747 from its fleet a couple weeks ago, threw a big party in Paris for a farewell flight and everything. And, for the final flight the French Air Force showed up to help celebrate:

Who’s on Strike? Everyone!

Imagine the frustration of being late to the airport because taxi drivers are on strike. And then the relief of discovering that you didn’t miss your flight because everything is delayed due to Air Traffic Controllers also being on strike. Because that happened today for this guy:

So, yeah, a bit of France to enjoy this evening.
