A rocket lands itself on a boat

Not really a whole lot more to say about this, other than that it is incredible. SpaceX released the timelapsed video of its first stage rocket reentering the earth’s atmosphere and navigating itself to a picture-perfect touchdown on the drone barge Of Course I Still Love You off the coast of Florida.

There is very little about this whole thing which I do not find completely amazing.

Travel gone wrong: Flying to and fro and missing everything along the way
In retrospect, my travel plan for the week looked a bit like something Spalding Smails might have tried to piece together. If everything went to plan it should've worked. Alas, while the early bits suffered minor hiccups, later in the week things went off the rails in a hurry.

Starlink shines on JSX
Of course it works; this was a media demo flight, after all. But the fact that the Starlink internet service works so well on the JSX fleet was never a sure thing; the program had a few hiccups along the way. But the overall performance was impressive, and in a couple ways that were true differentiators from competing solutions.
