Flying a domestic US trip on Labor Day? Odds are you’ve got free wifi on board! Gogo and TMobile teamed up to offer 30 free minutes of connectivity in the air on smart phones today.
The deal is similar to the benefit that TMobile ONE customers get on every Gogo-equipped flight, but this time it is available to all passengers.
[T]his Labor Day, the Un-carrier is giving everyone – yep, even Verizon, AT&T, Comcast and Charter customers — 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi for smartphones on all Gogo-equipped domestic flights. For one day, on Monday, September 3rd, everyone gets a sample of the magenta goodness that T-Mobile customers experience on the daily!
For those flying on JetBlue the wifi is always free, so that’s another bunch of passengers that can be connected in the sky. Of the US airlines with kit on board it is mostly United’s passengers that won’t get to play for free online in the sky. Oopsie.
